UTEP offers various student employment opportunities that provide flexible work schedules and valuable experience. Here’s an overview of the different types of positions available:
Student Employment/Hourly Positions
These positions are available within UTEP departments, with students typically working 15-19 hours per week at a pay rate of $10 per hour or more. These positions are not tied to financial aid or financial need.

Internships
Internships help students develop work skills and can be part-time or full-time. While internships may or may not be directly related to your major, they provide valuable experience and typically require a minimum of 120 hours per semester. Some internships are volunteer-based, and others may be part of a cooperative education program (Co-op), which requires more than 120 hours per semester.
