Travel Support for Graduate Students
The College of Engineering Dean’s Office is committed to supporting research and development activities to its engineering graduate community. The Research, Innovation and Impact unit can provide partial assistance in covering costs associated with, but not limited to, academic conferences, national conventions, and specialized research opportunities.
FUNDING GUIDELINES
- Competitive process: Funds are limited and awarded on a competitive basis. In addition, support for international travel is extremely competitive and may be awarded only under exceptional circumstances. Proof of financial support from the student’s faculty mentor is required as part of the application.
- Presenters only: Support will only be given to students presenting their research.
- Other sources: Applicants must state if they have already requested funding from their mentor and/or department.
